South Africa (Cape Town area) - January 2026 - NEXT BIG ADVENTURE

In the new year, we visit Africa’s premier country, South Africa, with a specific focus on the Western Cape (Cape Town and surroundings regions).

Needing no introduction, Cape Town is a sophisticated and internationally well-connected tourism powerhouse (without feeling over-touristed for the most part).

One of the most beautiful cities on earth, with mountains, seas, flowers, food, wine, adventure sports and amazing vistas to match, Cape Town has something for every taste.

On the itinerary are all the major highlights of Cape Town and the surrounding wine regions, and then we also head out into the countryside for some lesser visited sights like Calitzdorp, the Port wine capital of Africa, and Sutherland, South Africa’s coldest town 100s of kms from the city lights to explore the largest telescope in the Southern Hemispere.

Easy direct and regular (and usually exceptionally affordable for Africa) flight connections exist from all continents (including Antarctica).
